The 3rd Annual Walk on Water  Tournament will be held on February 6th 2010.

The launch point will be Wilson Hill Park again this year.

We are giving away a Humminbird Ice 45, A Jiffy 2500 series power auger, as well as door and raffle prizes.

  1. The Tournament is scheduled for February 6th 2010 from 8:00a.m.to 3:00 p.m. Contestants are discouraged from fishing the area prior to 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. You are responsible for your own safety. Please be careful.
  2. Registration is $15.00 for those 13 and older. Ages 12 and under are $5.00, ages 7 and under are free, and will be provided one 36 count container of wax worms, courtesy of Bucs Aqua Farms.
  3. You may register at PM Sports, 214 W Ludington Ave.
  4. PM Sport’s number is 231-843-8676
  5. Weigh in and Tourney center will be at Wilson Hill Park at the end of Jebavy Road, at 3:00pm. Anything brought after 3:00 will not be counted.
  6. Winners will be determined by a point system based solely by length. A point value is given to each fish based on its length, and species, and not by weight. DNR creel limits apply for all species allowed. A contestant can be eligible for more than one competition prize. All contestants must catch their own fish. If a competitor is caught catching fish for someone else, they will be immediately disqualified, no ifs, ands, or buts. Period!
  7. Cheating will not be tolerated! If you are caught cheating, you will be immediately disqualified from this and any future tournaments.
  8. Frozen fish are ineligible. Judges shall have the right to verify that fish were legally caught. The decision of the judge is final. Final weigh in will be Saturday the 6th at 3:30p.m.
  9. Contestants must fish on Hamlin Lake only. You also must have your registration ticket on you during the tournament and during check-in.
  10. All laws of the State of Michigan must be abided by.
  11. Contestants are responsible for their own safety, actions, and property at all times.
  12. Prizes are the responsibility of the winners. Licensing, registration, transportation, taxes, and all incidental or consequential expenses incurred are the responsibility of the winners. Prizes must be claimed within 90 days of notification.
  13. Contestants may use motorized vehicles, but are to keep the weigh in area clear.
  14. Contestants are required to park in the areas provided. There will be no on-ice parking for contestants. Watch for signs. Contestants are encouraged to carpool and use the buddy system.
  15. Heaters, chairs, bait pails, depth finders are allowed. No licenses sold on the lake. Weighted lines without hooks or bait can be used to check depth. Fish caught before the start or after the end of the tournament are not eligible for entry.
  16. Failure to comply with any contest rules subjects contestants to disqualification, as determined by contest officials. Right to refuse to sell and/or revoke a competition ticket to anyone is hereby reserved.
  17. Tournament results remain unofficial until verified by the head judges.
  18. All contestants and others hereby consent to the use of any names, photographs or likenesses for the sole purpose of future promotions.
  19. We thank you for your support of this tournament. Our hope is that everyone has a great time, so that we can do this every year. We have plans for expanding events and activities for future tournaments!
  20. A rain date of February 27th is in case of severe weather conditions.
