8/24/08 - Lake Michigan/ Pere Marquette river.

Things have slowed down a bit with the warmer weather and South winds. A few perch still off the North pier, as well as some kings. The wind is coming out out of the North today, it should push everything back into the pierheads. Look for good Perch and king fishing today and tomorrow. The Perch are still hitting on minnows. The kings are hitting casting spoons and alewives. Yeck KGB casting spoons are doing particularly well, with a 30 lb king taken on one earlier in the week.

Kings are being taken from twin bridges all the way up to Baldwin. Spawn or Thundersticks are producing nice size fish

8/24/08 - Lake Hamlin

 Fishing has been good on Hamlin. It seems as though a majority of fish are in deeper water. The second biggest channel cat on record was caught on a crawler harness in 40 ft of water a few days ago. It was 37 inches and almost 20 lbs.

PM Lake

There are some kings in PM. A few reports of nice size Perch also.
